Wil’s artist profile

“I’m Wilbert Brown, but my friends call me Wil. I have so many interests it is difficult to know where to start. ) I’ve always been into photography since winning my first and only photographic competition at the age of 9. I had my own darkroom for a number of years but as digital cameras became more widely available, I switched from using film. Being a programmer in RL, the idea of using a computer for my photographs made so much sense. It was a natural progression to move to creating digital pictures without a camera in sight. My partner, Lila Mill, then introduced me to Bryce which is a piece of software that allows your imagination to run wild. When I drag myself away from my computer, which takes a lot of effort, I love making things ranging from small miniatures and scenery to large wooden structures. I love working in Second Life. It allows me to expand my imagination further than any other environment. Also, it is so cool to be able to fly.”
